Popular messaging service WhatsApp has expanded its search function. You can find out how it works here.
With the numerous messages you send and receive as a WhatsApp user, you can quickly lose track. In order to find very specific messages again, there is a search function, which has now been expanded by the company responsible Meta. CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently introduced the new feature live in the official WhatsApp channel. Now it will be possible to search not only for a keyword, but for a specific date.
This is how the search by date function works

In the chat, tap the three dots at the top right and select Search.

The calendar icon appears on the right in the search line – select the desired date there

First, the month view is displayed with individual days. If you click on the year in history, you will go to select year
The option to select only a specific search period instead of a specific date is still missing. So, if you are not sure when the message will be sent, you will have to search several days one by one.
