WhatsApp postponed the application of the new privacy policy for 3 months, stating that the accounts of users who have not yet approved will not be deleted on February 8.
All processors, including WhatsApp, have a privacy policy regarding users’ right to privacy. WhatsApp’s amendment of the privacy policy for commercial purposes has drawn strong criticism.
Millions have turned to telegram and signal processors due to widespread reports of threats to their privacy. But WhatsApp’s interpretation that users’ personal details would be properly protected and that neither WhatsApp nor Facebook would be able to access them was of great benefit.
After that, WhatsApp, which announced that privacy policy changes would take effect from February 8th, postponed it for another 3 months.
WhatsApp, which had previously warned that the new terms and conditions should be accepted or the account would be deleted by February 8, also pulled this announcement.
WhatsApp announced that new features for WhatsApp business accounts will be available until May 15, when users will be notified of their privacy and security.
