- Demonstrations in The Hague for the right to affordable housing. Demonstrators from the residential resistance movement march through the city center, passing the Ministry of the Interior. The protest march will begin at 2 pm.
- Bulgarians go to the polls for the third time this year. Elections were also held in April and July, but the parties have so far failed to form a government. What did you miss?
Three minors were killed in a head-on collision between an ambulance and a passenger car in Helmond. Police said they belonged to two boys aged 15 and 16 from Eindhoven and a 16-year-old boy from Nuenen. The latter was going to drive the car. The fourth fourth, a 15-year-old boy from Eindhoven, was seriously injured.
It was not revealed who owned the car or how the teenagers accessed it. It is also not yet clear why the car and ambulance collided shortly after midnight.

At the conclusion of the Glasgow Climate Summit, Summit Chair, Alok Sharma, collapsed after a disappointing closing statement from the summit. Although 200 delegates agreed on measures to curb global warming, a last-minute discussion erupted, particularly with China and India.
The countries were dissatisfied with parts of the text, and wanted to amend the part on fossil fuel subsidies and stop the use of coal. In the text, the initial wording, “toward phasing out,” was changed at the last moment to “toward phasing out,” or “reduce” rather than “ultimately stop” the use of coal.
For other countries, especially from the European Union and small island states, this has been a major disappointment. However, all delegations eventually agreed to the closing statement.
