For Ronnie Lawrence, this will be his third fight for the UFC. The American was signed by the UFC after winning the Dana White competition series in 2020. In his debut a few months later, he won Performance of the Night by finishing off Vince Cachero in the third round via TKO.

However, he had a much tougher time earlier this year in his second match of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Opponent Mana Martinez nearly eliminated Lawrence in the third round. However, Lawrence stayed in the game and eventually won because he took the first two laps.

Opponent Sedokub Kharmonov is a former CFC champion. The Uzbek, who has been living in the United States for a while, was given the opportunity to play as a substitute against Trevin Jones last year. Kekhmonov was underdog in that match, but managed to impose his will on Jones.

Kakhmonov defeated Guillotine Choke in the third round, but missed the performance bonus due to his overweight. At the beginning of this year, the Uzbek faced off against Brian Kelleher, but had to cancel due to a positive COVID-19 test. Now Kharmonov will enter the match against Lawrence fully equipped.
