It took a while, but the successor to the Lamborghini Huracan is here. The Lamborghini Temerario is the new entry-level model from the Sant'Agata Bolognese brand. It's a completely new car with completely different technology. That's what we love about Top Gear: cute and tough.

Before we get into the delicious tech, let’s first take a look at the Lamborghini Timerario’s appearance. It’s 100 percent Lamborghini. Low, stocky, muscular and wide. Dramatic, gorgeous. And then it’s all about proportions, because the lines are actually relatively simple. At a time when designs are getting busier and more chaotic, that’s one thing. Cleans Design a breath of fresh air.

Then there’s the Lamborghini Temerario technology. As we mentioned, this one is very special. The Temerario has no less than four motors. Two on the front axle, one for each front wheel. Then there’s an electric motor connected to the transmission. In “EV mode,” the Temerario has front-wheel drive! It’s the first Lamborghini to do that. It’s similar to the system from the Revuelto, but there are differences.

The Revuelto has a physical reverse in the transmission, but the Temerario doesn’t. The reverse is purely electric, so the gearbox only has forward gears. It’s an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. There’s another electric motor connected to the automatic. That’s just to support the V8.

This combustion engine is an instant gem. The Temerario's predecessor had a great V10, but the Temerario has a 4.0-liter V8 with two turbos. The special thing is that this engine can spin 10,000 revs. Usually the fun ends at around 6,500-7,000, but this one will last a while. The block is good for 800 horsepower, which brings the system output to 920 horsepower.

    Lamborghini Timerario Performance

So the performance is strange for an entry-level car. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2.7 seconds and the top speed is 343 km/h. The electric range is limited because the battery pack is so small: 3.8 kWh. The electric motors really help boost the performance and hide the turbo lag, so the Lamborghini Temerario reacts well to the gas.

Naturally, Lamborghini immediately has an additional package on offer for those who want to spruce up their Temerario. This is possible with the “Allegrita” package. Then you get a load of carbon fiber, which can save you about 12 kilograms. Speaking of weight: the Temerario weighs 1,690 kilograms.

Finally, the interior. This is once again absolutely tidy and neat. Not only that, it’s also more spacious in design. According to Lamborghini, people who are two meters tall can get in with a helmet. The Huracan was too cramped for the taller among us, and it’s great to know that they can now drive a Lamborghini too.
