My Saga sank about 15 kilometers off the coast of Calabria. Passengers and crew were rescued. The vessel, with an Italian crew, was flying the flag of the Cayman Islands, the second most popular flag state for luxury yachts. The Coast Guard filmed the sinking of the luxury yacht, which is not 40 meters long, and posted the video on Twitter.

And, according to the Italian news agency ANSA, the crew of the Crotone Port Authority reported, on Sunday evening, that the water had entered the ship. A Romanian patrol boat commissioned by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) carried the first four passengers and one crew member to the port of Catanzaro. Meanwhile, the shipping company has hired a company to safely haul My Saga to port.

The boat arrived at the yacht at dawn and took five more crew members. Due to weather conditions and constant tilt, the towing attempt failed.

The attempt to skew the yacht on land also failed because too much water had already penetrated into the hull of the yacht. Early on Monday afternoon, rescue workers finally disembarked the Millions’ yacht. The cause of My Saga’s concern is currently being determined.
