Lucinda Brand won the World Cup in cyclocross this weekend. However, the knight from Dordrecht was not required to take any action in Flamanville. Since Denise Betsema didn’t race in France on Sunday, just like Brand, the brand could no longer be overtaken in the standings.

Brand achieved the overall World Cup victory for the second time. The world champion will defend her rainbow jersey in two weeks. Then the World Cup will be held in Fayetteville, USA.

Korfbal League: PKC has taken a big hit

Inside the house, the PKC had no kid at Oost-Arnhem in Group B of the Korfbal League on Saturday. The Papendrechters were too strong for the goal-free final score with 31-14. PKC currently shares the leadership of the group with DVO by twelve points, but Bennekom’s DVO has played one game less.

KCC lost the home game to AKC Blauw Wit in Group 1 of the Korfbal League on Saturday. The team from Amsterdam won 28-21 at Capelle aan den IJssel. After seven matches, Kuwait Central Club is in fifth place in the group with four points. Dalto from Driebergen is last in Group A with zero points.

Eredivisie Women: Free Feyenoord, tight loss to Excelsior

The Eredivisie kicks off again this weekend, not just for men, but for women as well. Feyenoord didn’t have to take any action yet. This was true for Excelsior. The Kralingers were unable to deliver a stunt in Eindhoven on Friday. PSV were very strong for the last game (1-0) with a slight difference.

However, the next Excelsior match will take some time. The Kralingse Women will not play again until Friday, February 4th. Then VV Alkmaar becomes the opponent on his court. Next week, Feyenoord will face the Alkmaar women.
