On Monday, the woman received a text message telling her that her account had expired, according to police. She was then asked to register using the link provided. Without suspecting it was a scam, the 31-year-old clicked on the link and followed the instructions.

The scammers debit 19 thousand euros from the account

The next day, she received a call telling her that there were multiple transfer orders and that they could only be canceled by entering a code. In good faith, the woman tried to stop the supposed requests through the bank’s app. However, nearly €19,000 was debited from her account without her knowledge. The investigation is ongoing.
