Singapore Airlines is doubling down on rewarding its most loyal premium-class travelers, unveiling expanded benefits for members of its prestigious PPS Club and Solitaire PPS Club under the airline’s KrisFlyer loyalty program.

PPS Club members account for less than 2% of Singapore Airlines’ 6.8 million KrisFlyer elite travelers worldwide, but they represent some of the carrier’s most valuable customers. The latest updates to the PPS Rewards program, which sits atop the KrisFlyer hierarchy, reflect the airline’s strategy to deepen engagement among frequent premium-cabin flyers while maintaining exclusivity.

A Loyalty Program Within a Loyalty Program

KrisFlyer has long been considered one of the world’s most respected frequent-flyer programs, and the PPS Club represents its pinnacle. Established to recognize the airline’s most frequent premium travelers, the PPS Club and its higher Solitaire tier offer elite perks that go well beyond mileage redemptions.

Introduced in 2017, the PPS Rewards program serves as a milestone-based incentive for members who consistently fly in Business, First Class, or Suites. Each reward is unlocked as members accumulate “PPS Value,” the airline’s exclusive status-earning metric.

While smaller in scale than full elite-tier benefits, these milestone rewards deliver tangible value — from bonus miles to significant redemption discounts — and reinforce Singapore Airlines’ commitment to rewarding loyalty among its highest-spending clientele.

How the PPS Rewards System Works

Under the PPS Rewards structure, bonuses are automatically unlocked as members reach spending thresholds within a membership year. Each new level of PPS Value triggers an additional benefit, which appears instantly in the member’s KrisFlyer account under “Account Summary → PPS Rewards.”

Once issued, rewards remain valid for 12 months, with the option of a one-time three-month extension before expiry. Members can redeem or manage their rewards online or through the airline’s dedicated PPS Connect service.

    Earning PPS Value

Traditionally, PPS Value has been earned exclusively through paid premium-cabin flights operated by Singapore Airlines — those bearing SQ flight numbers. Economy and Premium Economy fares do not qualify.

However, starting in 2025, the airline has expanded the program’s earning potential. Members can now accumulate limited PPS Value from on-ground spending through Kris+, KrisShop, and Pelago, Singapore Airlines’ lifestyle and retail platforms. All eligible spending is converted to Singapore dollars before PPS Value is calculated. Redemption flights and tickets purchased with KrisFlyer miles remain ineligible.

    Key Rewards for 2025

The 2025 PPS Rewards framework includes several core milestones designed to deliver both flexibility and value for frequent travelers.

    Double KrisFlyer Miles:
At 30,000 PPS Value, members receive two vouchers that double the base KrisFlyer miles earned on a single flight segment. The vouchers can even be applied retroactively within seven days of flight completion, as long as they were issued prior to the trip.

    50,000 Miles Redemption Discount:
Another major incentive is a flat 50,000-mile discount available for flight or upgrade redemptions on Singapore Airlines-operated flights. The reward applies to one passenger per booking and must be used within 12 months, with any unused portion forfeited.

    Advance Upgrade Rewards:
At 60,000 PPS Value and beyond, Solitaire PPS Club members unlock up to three Advance Upgrade vouchers. Each voucher allows a confirmed one-class upgrade — from Economy to Premium Economy, Premium Economy to Business, or Business to First Class — subject to seat availability. These upgrades cannot be waitlisted or combined for multiple travelers and are valid only on eligible commercial fares.

    Managing and Extending Rewards

Members can apply rewards directly through their KrisFlyer account interface and monitor expiry dates via their online dashboard. A built-in extension feature allows users to extend reward validity by three months.

Some rewards can also be combined for additional benefit — for example, using a Double Miles voucher in conjunction with an Advance Upgrade to maximize returns on long-haul Business Class flights.

The PPS Rewards tracker resets every 100,000 PPS Value earned, up to a maximum of 500,000 PPS Value per membership year. Beyond that limit, additional PPS Value does not generate new rewards.

A Premium Perk for the Airline’s Most Loyal Flyers

While the PPS Rewards program does not offer the sweeping privileges of a complimentary flight or full-tier upgrade, it reinforces Singapore Airlines’ commitment to providing value and recognition to its top-tier members.

For frequent travelers, especially those on the path to Solitaire status, PPS Rewards serve as both a practical incentive and a strategic tool for maximizing travel benefits. With options such as doubling miles or applying significant mileage discounts, members can derive measurable value from each year of premium-class flying.

Singapore Airlines’ 2025 updates underscore how the carrier continues to refine its loyalty ecosystem — balancing exclusivity, reward flexibility, and tangible value for its most elite customers.
