The three-time Olympic champion cemented her world title in the 50m butterfly on Sunday. Cromo may have swam in her last race on Tuesday. The head of the Dutch swimming team will be thinking about his future over the holidays. There is a chance that Kromowidjojo will end her career, just like Femke Heemskerk.

De Groningen led the Dutch relay team to a bronze medal in the 4×50 freestyle on Tuesday and then finished with a silver medal in the 50m individual race. As a result, Kromowidjojo raised her total medal count in the short cycle world championships to 28.

“Of course I wanted to win, but Sarah never made it easy for me. I am now the most capped swimmer ever, defeating Katinka Hoszow in total medals won. I wish I could be the first woman to win five gold medals in a single distance “Now I have four silver medals and one,” said the swimmer, who won the 50th freestyle for the first time in Dubai in 2010. “It’s been a great year, and in conclusion, a great week. Spicy, but also very good. I am proud of myself.”

The Dutch relay teams were unable to conclude the short course of the World Championships in Abu Dhabi with a medal in the 4x100m medley. Men ranked sixth and women seventh.

Swimmers Stan Bjenberg, Arno Kamenga, Nils Korstanje and Luke Kron finished in 3.26.59. Gold went to Italy at 3,19.76, followed by the United States and Russia.

In the women’s competitions, the Swedish quartet won a time of 3.46.20, ahead of Canada (silver) and China (bronze). Dutch swimmers Mikey De Ward, Kim Bosch, Tessa Gilly and Marit Steenbergen finished seventh with a time of 3.53.97.
