If a pair of screen protectors for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ could legitimately look at both models’ screen, Samsung’s 2022 flagship phones would have a thinner and thinner screen, shorter and wider. Twitter Tipster ice universe (UniverseIce) posted a tweet comparing the screen protectors in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ with the screen protectors in the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+.

Even taking into account the different angles of both images, the 2022 models have more rounded corners than last year’s models and the bezels remain very thin. Since companies that make accessories like tempered glass protectors are the first to get the dimensions of new phone models from the manufacturer, checking out this product is a good way to see what Samsung thinks of its upcoming flagship models.

The Galaxy S22 series’ aspect ratio is rumored to drop to 19.5:9 from 20:9 last year.

There has been a tendency for phones with larger screens to have a larger aspect ratio that produces a larger and thinner screen, making the device easier to use with one hand. can be Samsung says it is enough. The aspect ratio on the Galaxy S21 line is 20:9. In a later tweet, Ice Universe says that the aspect ratio on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will be 19.5:9, which is consistent with the idea that screens will be shorter and wider in 2022.

The alleged glass protectors of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have a shorter and wider screen than last year’s models

The Galaxy S22 line, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S 22 Ultra, is expected to feature punch-hole selfies on the front on all three models instead of the camera at the bottom of the screen. Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ can have a 50MP primary camera, with both models featuring Samsung’s ISOCELL GN5 sensor with omnidirectional autofocus and 1.0µm pixels.

The phones are powered by the 4nm Samsung Exynos 2200 chipset designed by Samsung Foundry. In the US, the series should carry a 4nm Snapdragon 898 SoC processor, which is also built by Samsung Foundry. Not so long ago, US carriers were happy with Snapdragon chips for their Galaxy S models, but this year Verizon ordered Samsung Exynos 2200 installed in Galaxy S22 series units will be sold in the US

This year, the Exynos 2200 will feature a graphics processing unit (GPU) made by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Negotiations are said to be taking place between Verizon and Samsung. Part of the reason Samsung is being more stingy than usual with Exynos APs may have to do with a global chip shortage. In addition, there were some issues related to low productivity and other production issues. Samsung Foundry is the second largest independent foundry in the world after TSMC and the largest contract foundry in the world.

The reason for Verizon’s request may have something to do with the Exynos 2200 which uses an AMD GPU. The Snapdragon 898 will use Qualcomm’s latest Adreno GPU. Last year, the Exynos 2100 SoC had a Mali-G78 MP14 GPU designed by ARM Holdings.

The Galaxy S22 is rumored to have a smaller 3,700mAh battery compared to the 4,000mAh battery in the Galaxy S21. The Galaxy S22+ is rumored to have a smaller 4,500mAh battery compared to the 4,800mAh portion of the Galaxy S21+. The only model out of the three that isn’t expected to lose battery capacity this year is the Galaxy S22 Ultra with a 5,000mAh battery similar to that of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Galaxy S21 line was introduced on January 14, 2021 and released on January 29 this year. We can see a similar reveal and release date for the Galaxy S22 series.
