Ryanair’s cabin crew strikes barely led to cancellations. The Irish budget fighter claims that 2 per cent of flights on Friday were affected by the disruption and this only happened in Belgium. No flights were canceled in Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Ireland. The airline says the “vast majority” of cabin crew are just working.

According to Ryanair, about 40 percent of flights to and from Charleroi and Brussels Airport were canceled on Friday. Dutch travelers often use the national airport at Zaventem, near the Belgian capital. Strikes have also been announced on Saturday and Sunday and Ryanair does not expect to cause many of its 3,000 daily flights to be canceled.

“On June 25 and 26, Ryanair anticipates minimal (if any) disruption to its flight schedule as a result of very minor and unsupported business disruptions,” the Irish airline said in a statement. Ryanair employees have left their jobs because the company refuses to negotiate higher wages. The company withdrew from the negotiating table earlier this month, according to Bloomberg news agency, after Spanish unions threatened strikes.
