It started. The first day of play has come to an end at the National O16 Youth. Rotterdam MO16, who won the national title last season, started Saturday with a 3-0 win over Rosmalen. For the boys, defending champion Schaerweijde were too strong for Laren with a score of 3-2.

Below are the results from the first round of the O16 National Pre-Competition Championship. Are there any nice pictures of the contests below? Then email them to [email protected]!

In the O16 Boys’ Preliminary Competition, numbers one, two and three from each group move on to the next stage of the national competition. Numbers four and five will play in Super O16 after the preliminary competition, while number six will play in the Subtop category.

In the O16 girls preliminary competition, numbers one and two from each group move on to the next stage of the national competition. The best six three numbers also earn a place in the national competition. The remaining three numbers go to Super O16, just like all four numbers. The top five best numbers also compete in Super O16. The remaining five numbers move to the Subtop category, just like all six numbers in the preliminary competition.

Amsterdam, which lost last season’s national title final to Scherweijd, secured the first three points of the season by defeating Voordan 6-3. Little Switzerland showed no pity for Schiedam. It became at least 11-1.
