Tesla has filed a lawsuit against the Swedish government because it no longer receives license plates for its new electric cars. The reason is a solidarity campaign by postmen.

no time? Blue News sums it up for you

    • Swedish postmen challenge Elon Musk and refuse to deliver Tesla license plates.
    • By doing so, they are showing their solidarity with the striking Tesla employees.
    • Tesla is now seeking help in court and has already achieved its first success.

Tesla has a problem in Sweden. It no longer receives license plates for its new vehicles and therefore cannot deliver them to its customers. The reason for this is the labor dispute at Tesla, which also led to solidarity actions elsewhere.

The IF Metall union is currently on strike for a collective labor agreement at Tesla. As part of this strike, workers at other companies also showed their solidarity, such as PostNord. Postmen there categorically refuse to deliver packages to Tesla. Since the State Transportation Authority only sends license plates by mail, Tesla simply doesn’t get them.

    Tesla gets preliminary injunction

Tesla has now filed a lawsuit against the transport authority in a court in Norrköping, in the east of the country. This requires that he can simply collect license plates from the same manufacturer.

At the beginning of the operation, Tesla achieved temporary success. The court issued an injunction ordering the Transport Authority to allow the banners to be raised within seven days. A spokeswoman for the authority told The Guardian that the matter is still under study.
