Australian ice cream brand Streets has launched an all-new line of Paddle Pops shaped like koala with chocolate and caramel flavor.

The brand teamed up with WIRES to save wildlife at the new Sydney Zoo to help rebuild the koala population after a devastating bushfire season that saw a 71 percent decline for animals.

Thus Streets unveiled the new Koala Paddle Pop – complete with a mix of chocolate and caramel made with Australian dairy products.

“We are a local brand, we want to make sure we do our part for our local heroes,” said Annie Lucetti, Paddle Pop Brand Manager.

This is why we are proud to partner with an organization actively striving to support our Australian wildlife such as WIRES.

“We wanted to create our new Koala Paddle Pop to help raise awareness about koala conservation among Australian families – and what better way to support these lovable creatures than using ice cream in your hand.”

WIRES CEO Lian Taylor said that koala numbers have seen a significant decline over the past five to ten years.

Raising awareness of koala protection is now more important than ever. We are delighted to have the support of Paddle Pop to help advance the conversation and educate more Australian families on this important issue.

“Supporting the Paddle Pop is a great mix of long-term initiatives, education, hands-on planning for the upcoming summer season and rebuilding of future koala populations.”

The two-year commitment will see Paddle Pop support three WIRES projects such as the Koala Rehabilitation Facilities, the Koala Health Hub, and the Water Drinkers Project.

The new Koala Paddle Pop is available starting Monday, September 7 in clothing and gasoline stores across Australia and in Coles and IGA from the end of the month.

Ice cream costs $ 2.50 for a single stick or a pack of four for $ 7.
