VELP – The new sports stadium next to Biljoenbad in VELP will open on Saturday 28 May 2022. Alderman Marc Budel will provide the opening in a sporty manner.
In the sports field, all residents can enjoy the football field, the skating track, the volleyball court and fitness in the gymnastics park. After the official opening, there will be demonstrations and residents can experience what it’s like to exercise in this outdoor sports stadium through clinics. The Sports Court is the conclusion to Project Biljoenbad, the iconic project of the current B&W College.
Aldermann Bodl: “On the sports field, everyone can play sports at their level or level. For young and old, beginners and advanced and athletes with disabilities. This sports court fully complies with the municipality’s policy on sports, games and accessibility: outdoors, modern, with low-threshold and accessible activities For everyone. Opening of the sports stadium Saturday 28 May 2022
Alderman Marc Budel Sports Stadium has officially opened. This is followed by demonstrations in different parts of the stadium. Between 10:15 and 11:45 there are free clinics. Then it’s time for a snack and a drink and residents can explore the sports field on their own.

- 13:00 End of the opening of the sports stadium
After 1 pm, everyone can exercise freely. No registration required, participation is free.
