    Who shapes the future? In any case, American chip developer Nvidia claims to have a big say in this crucial issue. Its chips form the backbone of many artificial intelligence applications. What has remained hidden from most people until now: Nvidia’s role as the world’s most valuable company could easily be taken over by another chip giant — Intel.

    A decade ago, people covered their mouths in embarrassment whenever the talk turned to AI applications. Dreams of the future and fantasy – these were the judgments. Skeptics were far outnumbered. But over the years the picture has gradually changed. However, in 2018, AI was not a big topic in the capital markets, and there were doubts even in expert circles. Intel, the leader in chip development, was adamant that generative AI models would not take off in the near future. A serious miscalculation that could easily join the ranks of historical management mistakes – similar to Daimler’s sale of shares in Tesla or Bayer’s controversial purchase of Monsanto.
