    Irish cage fighter Conor McGregor is currently the highest paid athlete in the world according to business magazine Forbes. The magazine has calculated that thanks to his business activities, he has earned about $180 million (about 150 million euros) in the past 12 months.




    The Notorious earned $22 million in a cage alone. Most of what the 32-year-old MacGregor earned in one year came through his business activities. By selling a majority stake in its whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve, he was allowed to add another $158 million to his account.

    McGregor is one of four athletes to earn more than $100 million, according to Forbes. Lionel Messi ranked second on the list with $130 million, followed by his great rival Cristiano Ronaldo ($120 million).

    In fourth place is the American football player Dak Prescott. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback earned $107.5 million, thanks to a $66 million signing bonus. American basketball player LeBron James completes the top five with $96.5 million.

    The top ten is also completed by: Neymar (football – 95 million), Roger Federer (tennis – 90 million), Lewis Hamilton (Formula 1 – 82 million), Tom Brady (American football – 76 million) and Kevin Durant (basketball). – 75 million).
