Enthusiasts better pay attention: Nissan has introduced the seventh generation Z. Nissan keeps the naming beautiful and simple, because wherever predecessors had names like 240Z, 300ZX, 350Z and 370Z, Nissan’s new sports coupe hears the simple name Z.

American version of the Nissan Z

Nissan introduced the new Z in the United States. So the version in the pictures is the US version. It is not yet known if the Nissan Z will come to Europe as well. There is no electricity issue and therefore low carbon dioxide emissions, which makes it difficult to sell the model to Europe. But there is always the “gray import”, so there is always a solution. Japan will get the model, and there it will be called Fairlady Z.

    VR30DDTT 3.0L V-6 Twin Turbo

Nissan temporarily mentions the powertrain of the Nissan Z. This is about a VR30DDTT 3.0-liter V-6 Twin Turbo petrol engine with 405 hp and 475 Nm of torque at 5600 rpm. There is a choice of a six-speed manual (!) or a nine-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The driving forces always go to the rear wheels with 275/35R19 tires. Up front, Nissan installs 255/40R19 tires.

    launch control

All models with automatic transmission are equipped with a launch control system. Manual transmission versions also have a carbon fiber composite crankshaft and downshift matching. The automatic version has two driving modes, standard and sport. Sport mode unlocks the performance potential of the Z, with faster driveline response time and more direct steering. Those who choose the Nissan Z Performance also get a mechanical differential lock.

    different colors

Nissan offers the Z in three exterior colors and six two-tone shades, including Seiran Blue and Ikazuchi Yellow. Two-tone versions have a black roof.

    Retro interior for Nissan Z

The center console in the Nissan Z is inspired by previous Z generations, with three analog gauges on the dashboard (boost, turbo speed, volts), an 8.0-inch touch screen in the center and climate control switches near the gear lever. As a driver, you’re looking at a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with three display modes. Three interior themes are available, graphite, red and blue. If you choose the Limited Proto Spec (240 copies), you get yellow accents on the interior.
