Australian guitar creator and Grammy nominee Tommy Emanuel has announced a series of three shows in the Netherlands early next year. Internationally renowned acoustic guitarist and the proud holder of the title of Certified Guitarist, with his unique finger picking style and innovative mix of jazz, blues, country and classical / Spanish influences, he plays hundreds of performances each year at venues sold worldwide. Support act introduces guitarist Mike Dose (UK).
Tommy Emmanuel, who toured Australia with his family at the age of 6 as “The Emmanuel Quartet” became a legendary guitarist with two Grammy nominations to his name. Through his solo performances, he has sold venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall in New York, and his videos have been viewed more than 30 million times on YouTube. Fans and experts from all over the world agree that not only is his cool style – playing Tommy solo usually requires three guitarists and a percussionist – but also the unbridled enthusiasm with which he draws audiences to his performances.
Last year, Tommy Emanuel expanded his impressive musical career with the double album The Best of Tommysongs (2020). The new batch of recordings of his best songs complemented by five new tracks prove that Tommy Emmanuel has not lost any of his ingenuity and creativity in his career of over 50 years and that we are still dealing here with a guitarist of the highest caliber. .
