In Leiden, the results of the parliamentary elections were announced more than 24 hours after the polls closed. Thus the main city was the last step. The VVD was not the largest party in Leiden, but the D66. Sigrid Kaag’s party won the support of 17,530 voters. Good for 23.2% of the vote.

The VVD came second with 15.1% (11,423 votes). The third party became GroenLinks. This party received 10.9% (8,184 votes) in Leiden. The participation rate is 81% (it was 84.4% in 2017). This is evident from the provisional result of the parliamentary elections.
