A Carinthian hotelier received truly shocking news on his cell phone yesterday around 10pm. The laundry at his hotel caught fire, and five fire departments were called.

Last night, around 10pm, a fire broke out at a hotel in the Spittal area. To be more precise, the fire broke out in the laundry. The 46-year-old hotel owner got his cell phone shot. However, the fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished by the arriving fire brigades. The laundry was severely damaged, but there was no danger to hotel guests.
Five fire departments are in action
None of the guests were injured, and the hotel owner was taken to hospital in Spittal by emergency services present for a medical examination. The fire departments of Bad Kleinkirchheim, Patergasseen, St. Peter, Untertwing and Radethen were on duty. “The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire are currently under investigation,” police said.
