sharp chop Karate guys become fitter, more disciplined and confident and learn to treat others with respect. An increasing number of children – and their parents – are discovering the benefits of martial arts. This is why the Scherpenzeelse Karate School is starting an additional class for children.

Her mother said excitedly: “When the training room (the training room) opened again after closing, Alicia (8 years old) jumped for joy!”. Online lessons were good, but going to the dojo is of course more fun. She has been a member for nine months now and I can see how her confidence has grown over the past few months. Discipline and respect are two things that get a lot of attention during lessons, which I think are important. I already got to know some kids from elementary school and a friend is joining her now.”

[ZELFVERTROUWEN] Dean Glass’s father (12) also sees a positive development. “With karate you learn to defend yourself. Dean is now much tougher after class. At home, Dean demonstrates and practices what they have learned. Before the exam, Dean was Ole, he wasn’t nervous, he was really looking forward to it.” How did the Glass family come up with the idea to visit the Karate School? At first, Dean was playing another sport that he didn’t enjoy much. We saw an article in the newspaper about KDI. After a trial lesson, Dean was immediately sold out.”

[UITDAGING] Nine-year-old Yurik Veer loves to practice the techniques in the classroom and at home. “Jorek is enjoying the lessons,” his mother says. “The group is fun and the exercises are hard. He also loves to practice at home with his dad or with me. If a technique works well, he can be proud of it. Jurick is enthusiastic, he can even rely on Japanese!”

From their hometown of Leersme, 11-year-old Olivia Schenk and her mother are at a dojo in Scherpenzel within 20 minutes. Olivia has worked with KDI since last fall. We lived in the US, where I also took karate. She really enjoys learning techniques. In addition, the atmosphere on the set is very pleasant. ”

[GRATIS PROEFLESSEN] Kids who want to learn about Karate can take two free trial lessons and without obligation at Karate-Do International Netherlands. The dojo in Holleweg has a class for children 6-11 years old and one for children 12-16 years old.
