    National Council response

The National Council has taken note of the decision of the Chairman of our party, Hans Huypers, to step down. We naturally respect his decision and are indebted to Hans for his efforts over the past period.

Under difficult circumstances, Hans has recently taken initiatives to start party restoration and party renewal in various fields.
His commitment and enthusiasm since the inception of the new National Council has been indispensable in this regard.

Hans has worked hard on building from the content, using young talent, and exploring new and lively image vectors in the assembly. For example, initiatives such as Jong naar de Top, the informal network of young party leaders and local councilors, and the 50/50 project in which experienced CDA members serve as mentors to young talent and have an eye for diversity on committees, have been initiated. The necessary restructuring of the party office was also initiated.

His tireless efforts to visit many CDA departments should not go unmentioned. He always did it with great enthusiasm and a lot of positivity.

We wish Hans all the best and are grateful for his great contribution to our party.

In the course of continuity in this important period, current Vice President and Secretary Mark Buck will serve as Acting President for the time being.

    welcome,

    the National Council:
Mark Buck, Rene Paul, Wendy Zuidema-Hans, Davey Badlow, Ciel Stevens Mewes
