Ids Hannema has been training since this week with the main force of 3rd Division Staphorst. The 21-year-old footballer is studying in the United States but is not expected to cross the ocean again until January.
Until then, Hanema, the former 1894 Achilles player at Essen, will maintain his fitness level at Stafhurst. The club could use the attacking midfielder for the Wright State University team well during training, as the selection was curtailed by two long hits.
Johnny de Vries has a knee injury and the question is how to recover. Alex Esselbrugge was out of circulation for a while due to a cruciate ligament injury and is now back on the field for walking exercises. Both players focus on the second half of the season.
For Staphorst, the adventure in Serie C begins on Saturday afternoon with an away match against Odin’59 in Heemskerk.
