Microsoft is currently experiencing a global network disruption affecting parts of the software maker's cloud services. As a result, some web services are unavailable or only available to a limited extent.

As Microsoft announced on its Azure status page , there has been a network issue across all Azure locations since approximately 1:45 PM CET (11:45 AM UTC) today, July 30, which may cause a timeout when trying to connect to services hosted in Microsoft's cloud-hosted services.

The portal “allestoerungen.de” also registered a significant increase in error reports for Office 365, Minecraft or the Microsoft Store. The number of outages on other sites of the service known worldwide as “Downdetector” has also doubled.

It is still unclear what is causing the network issues and when Microsoft will fix them. We will update this message as necessary.

In an update at 4:37 p.m., Microsoft reported that engineers had blocked the faulty network paths through configuration changes. The company continued that Microsoft’s own error monitoring now shows improved availability. The situation is also clearly improving on the “All Disruptions” error portal.

Additionally, Microsoft has dated the start of the disruption to 13:45 CET (11:45 UTC). We have adapted the corresponding text snippet.
