Final decisions have been made

Final decisions have been made

Brian Rodriguez, October 8, 2023

Final decisions were made on the sixth and final day of the preliminary competition. It is understood that the teams will continue in national competition after the fall break.

Below are the results of the sixth round of the O18 National Pre-Competition Championship. Are there any nice pictures of the contests below? Then email them to redactie@hockey.nl!

In the O18 Boys’ Preliminary Competition, numbers one and two from each group move on to the next stage of the national competition. While the third and fourth numbers will compete in Super A after the preliminary competition.

In the O18 girls preliminary competition, one number from each group moves on to the next stage of the national competition. The top seven finishers also earn a place in the national competition. The two lowest performing numbers will be played in Super O18, just like all three numbers. The best six-figure four also goes to Super O18. The three lowest performing numbers (four from each group) continue their season in the Subtop Class.

Bad luck for Nijmegen and Bush. After six days of matches, they had not scored enough points to play among the top seven second-placed teams, thus qualifying to continue in the national competition. Oranje-Rood, HDM and Den Bosch finished the preliminary competition with a score of one hundred percent. SCHC was close, but tied 2-2 against Little Switzerland on the final day of action. Belthoven’s side remained unbeaten, as did Rotterdam and Hurley. Amsterdam and Laren lost their undefeated status at the last minute. Amsterdam lost 1-0 to Zwolle, and Laren lost 3-1 to Ruud-Vitt. Almir scored his first win of the season. Leonidas was defeated 3-1.
