Julen Lopetegui shook off torrid spells with Spain and Real Madrid to steer Sevilla to a fourth-place finish in La Liga before defeating Wolves and Manchester United en route to the final. Serial winners in the competition, the Spanish side are attempting to lift the trophy for a record sixth time.

Inter have been a rejuvenated force under Antonio Conte this season but fell short in the Serie A title race. The Italians, spearheaded by Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, defeated Bayer Leverkusen and Shakhtar Donetsk in the previous rounds as they seek to end a decade-long trophy drought in Europe. 2 min: D’Ambrosio comes across to the left flank to challenge Reguilon, surging forward from left-back for Sevilla. The Inter man uses his arm in an attempt to swat his opponent aside and appears to catch him in the face. Sevilla’s player rush over to the referee, appealing for a red card, but D’Ambrosio gets away with it.
