Health Minister Christian Dube announced on Radio Canada that Montreal and Quebec City will be upgraded to the highest alert level for COVID-19 “in the coming days”. Everyone is talking about it Sunday night.
“Montreal and Quebec City are the hardest hit areas at the moment. They are very close to the red zone,” he said. “We will announce that in the coming days because I think we have reached that stage.”
Hard decisions lie ahead, Dubey said, but he did not elaborate on what exactly the red-zone restrictions would look like.
