Sprundel – He was only twenty years old and had already proven himself on gravel. Not only in Europe, but also in the United States, especially in Florida, the state where he studies. This is the story of Bart Noss from Sprundel who coaches many celebrities as a tennis coach. He recently played singles against tennis icon Venus Williams, who has won Wimbledon five times and the US Open twice.

“Florida has a lot of celebrities and a lot of riches, it’s Monaco 2.0. When it comes to sports, celebrities choose to play golf or tennis. “Right now I’m giving tennis lessons to singer Jon Bon Jovi, among others,” Bart gives a West Palm impression. Beach.

    Rico
Bart on the beginning: “It was at RICO where I learned from Richard Konings. I was on the court for all the matches and tournaments, singles and doubles, I loved it. Even at home, the tennis balls were flying in the living room.”

Bart continues: “My sister Joyce played football at a high level and was accepted into the Topsport Talentenschool (LOOT) in ‘t Rijks in Bergen op Zoom. In addition to women’s football lessons at the Dutch Football Association, there were also tennis lessons that I signed up for.” I was accepted by Gilles van de Gruyter, one of the best tennis coaches who taught me from that moment on. In a year and a half Bart rose to the number 120 for the under-14s. He was then twelve years old.

Less than a year later, he was No. 12 among the best young players. “By training more, Erik Hoppenbroers became my permanent coach at Etten-Lore. I also played in international youth tournaments. I was very motivated to make steps forward. My network expanded quickly and that is how I ended up at the AMJOY tennis school in Eindhoven.

    Keizer University Florida
Busy time begins for young Bart. He obtained his HAVO diploma in Eindhoven and in the meantime is training hard on gravel. This has paid off as, at the age of 16, he was in the top ten best players in the Netherlands U18s. After his studies, he found a new challenge in his tennis career. “I was accepted to Keizer University in Florida on an athletic scholarship and a scholarship. My sister has been studying here for a year.”

    Big names
After two years he decided to focus more on academics and transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University. “I didn’t see a future in hotels. I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in finance and accounting. In my free time, I now have space to play tennis. For example, I regularly play against Matija Pekotić and Dominik Hrbati, two big names in the world of tennis.

Venus Williams is also on the list of his opponents. She was looking for the best tennis players to get back in shape after suffering a hamstring injury. Bart on this opponent: “I’ve played tennis against her three times. Her serve is convincing and her play is aggressive. It was a very great experience to be on the court with such a great player.”

    trusted
Noos about his future: “I want to finish my studies in America. I feel at home with the Europeans who study here. I don’t have that click with Americans. Now that I’m back in Sprundel for summer vacation, I feel very relaxed. After my studies I want to go back to my roots. Debut in professional tennis is not for me, tennis is a great sport, but unfortunately life as a professional often isn’t. Bart also hopes that his experiences as a young high-performance tennis player will prove to be an excellent foundation for a future in business life.
