According to media reports, Myanmar’s new military leadership wants to indict former Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi on charges of high treason. Several observers on social media reported that the army decided this on Wednesday.

The Myanmar army took control of the country on Monday and declared a year-long state of emergency. Suu Kyi, the democratically elected leader, and scores of other politicians have been placed under house arrest.
