Apple TV+ just added over fifty new movies from other creators. It seems to be following the example of Netflix and Disney+.

For the first time, non-original movies can now be watched on Apple TV+. At least 51 movies have been added to the streaming service.

Apple calls it Cool Movies Collection and it consists of the latest movies like Jurassic World But also classics like Kill Bill, Spider-Man And The Wolf of Wall Street. Movies you can also watch on Netflix, for example. But not everything about this group is positive for everyone.

Apple TV+ follows Netflix and Disney+

Apple TV+ announced last Friday via X that the Great Movies collection can be watched on the streaming service of the same name. Since this is the first time Apple TV+ has offered third-party movies, subscribers are hoping it becomes a recurring thing, just like Netflix.

The wonderful movie collection that contains movies like Titanic, Mad Max And Star Trek Only available for a limited time on Apple TV+. Some titles will only be on display until March 31, while others will remain until April 30.

Prepare your popcorn.

Starting now, your favorite movies are available for a limited time with your Apple TV+ subscription (US only):

Watching the entire list of films in such a short time is quite a challenge. Apple TV+ subscribers will find the limited time more than disappointing. Members may still rely on Netflix to watch a number of movies. You can view the full list here.

Apple loves the United States

But in addition to the limited movie-watching time, there's another problem with Apple TV+'s Great Movies lineup. The streaming service on X announced that the collection could only be watched by people from the United States.

Many people are not entirely happy with this, and this was evident under the X message above. For example, Apple TV+ is said to have forgotten about the rest of the world and they should get a discount. Everyone in the world pays the same amount, but only the United States gets the benefits. In Europe, you'll really have to go to Netflix or SkyShowtime to watch some of these movies.

The reason the impressive collection of films is not available to the rest of the world likely has to do with movie rights. These may be available from other streaming services such as Netflix. But it remains sour, and people remain angry.
