Anyone who has a subscription to HBO Max and has King Richard on their list doesn’t have to go to the movies. The movie can already be watched on the new streaming service HBO Max, which means you can enjoy the movie from your couch with a bowl of popcorn.
King Richard is based on the true story of Richard Williams, father of Venus and Serena’s coach. The film shows Richard’s determination to bring his two daughters to the top of the tennis world. According to the sisters, there is no better tribute to their father than the portrayal of Will Smith in the movie.
Not surprisingly, the movie has already been shown on HBO Max, while it’s still in theaters. In the United States, the film was simultaneously released in theaters and on HBO Max. To compensate his fellow stars for lost theater revenue, Will Smith gave them rewards out of his own pocket.

HBO Max could become a major contender for movie theaters anyway. The latest Warner Bros. movies. Already on streaming service 45 days after cinema release. Although there is no official confirmation yet, it appears that Batman will be released on April 19, for example. There are of course a lot of people who would love to go to the movies and make it a real day or night out, but movie theaters can lose customers because of that.
