Daria Danilova and Michelle Tsiba are in seventh place in Vancouver
The short program of Daria Danilova and Michele Tsipa during the Vancouver Grand Prix saw some mistakes, meaning the pair had to settle for sixth place (57.17). In the freestyle, beautiful jumps and spins alternated with some carelessness to the sounds of The Chain, which received a rating of 107.84. However, the pair had their best results at the start of the season in both freestyle events and finished in seventh place. In November, the pair will compete in their second Grand Prix, November 24-26 in Osaka, Japan.

The doubles competition was won by Canadian duo Diana Stellato – Dudek and Maxime Deschamps. The fourth-place finisher in last year’s World Cup was ahead of everyone. Among the men, Japanese Sota Yamamoto was the best, ahead of his compatriot Kao Miura. Vice world champion Junhwan Cha of Korea only finished ninth due to his disappointing freestyle. The best among the women was Japan’s Kaori Sakumoto, the 2023 world champion. Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier scored the highest among ice dancers.

Impressive Jordan Stolz picks up three national titles in Milwaukee
While Dutch riders had to prove themselves in Holland to get World Cup tickets, Jordan Stolz entered the American starting field during the US National Championships. In Milwaukee, the American’s 1,500-meter race was particularly impressive. He drove 1.42.31, the best time of the season. Stolz also won national titles in the 1,000 meters (1.07.85) and 500 meters (34.66). For the women, Erin Jackson took the title in the 500 meters, and Kimmy Goetz narrowly held off Brittany Bowe in the 1,500 meters. Goetz then prevailed by a wide margin in the 1000 metres. She clocked 1:13.85, making her much faster than Bowe and Jackson.

He will be part of the WSE Superleague next year
The best skiers in the world will settle in Herdy next season. Skeelerclub Oost Veluwe have managed to secure a place in the new WSE Superleague calendar. This competition is created as a successor to the European Cup held in recent years. The aim of the new competition is to raise the level of skating. Part of this is a calendar with fewer competitions where the standard of the sport must be ‘higher’.

A prize pool of €20,000 will be allocated to the final winner of the full competition. Prize money is also provided for local events. The competition will be held in Hurdi on June 21, 22 and 23. Other locations for the contest are Geisingen And the total Jirao (Germany), Lagos (Portugal), Zandvoord (Belgium). The full calendar will be announced at a later date.
