Michael Maria (28) is De Graafschap’s next Test player. The left full back or left midfielder last played for NAC Breda.
Maria has been without a club for nearly a year. He played his last official match on May 14, 2022, in the playoffs for the NAC against ADO Den Haag.
Maria previously played for FC Twente, German clubs VfL Bochum and Erzgebirge Aue, Charlotte Independence in the USA and Australian Adelaide United, among others.
In addition to Maria, Belgian winger Andy Boonen is also on trial this week and right winger Giovanni Buttner is also doing in-house training throughout the pre-season. De Graafschap also wants to test Jerry van Wolfgang for a longer period.
Last week, German Jose Schmidt was also on trial, but the striker was tested.
