He won in 50.31 seconds, and Paul came in second with a time of 50.57 seconds. The bronze went to Jamaica’s Stephanie-Ann McPherson with a time of 50.79. Leicky Claver finished sixth. I ran 52.67. Paul won his second Dutch medal at the World Indoor Championships. On Friday, Jessica Schilder won the bronze medal in the shot put.

Miller-Oibo took the lead from lane 6 after the first lap. The 27-year-old had a slight lead after the 200m and didn’t concede. Paul, who started on lane 4, came close to making the final yards, but also had to make sure she was ahead of McPherson in second.

Paul, who won bronze in the 400-meter hurdles at the Tokyo Olympics last year, capped the World Cup in Belgrade with the fastest time of the season in the 400-meter race. In the Dutch national championship in February, I ran 50.30. Miller Uibo stayed a hundredth of a second above that in the World Cup final. The Bahamian athlete is a two-time Olympic champion at this distance.

    Zoe Sydney

Zoe Sidney finished sixth in the 60m hurdles. She finished her first World Cup final in 8.07 seconds. The title went to Serena Samba Maila of France in 7.78. Devin Charlton of the Bahamas took the silver and Gabrielle Cunningham of America took the bronze.

Earlier in the evening, Sedney won the semi-finals with a time of 7.95. Mickey Tjeen-a-Lim stranded in the semi-finals of the 60-meter hurdles. Earlier in the day I recorded my personal best result in Belgrade with 8.11.

Sydney is the third Dutch athlete to reach the final in the 60-meter hurdles. Morgan Oleslager did so in 1987 (fifth) and 1989 (sixth). Nadine Visser won the bronze medal in 2018. Visser is absent from the World Cup. She injured her hamstring at the Dutch National Championship and had to skip the tournament in Belgrade.

Sprinter Jacobs beats defending champion Coleman by 60 metres

Italian athlete Lamont Marcel Jacobs won the gold medal in the 60 metres. The Olympic 100-meter champion beat defending champion Christian Coleman of the United States by a narrow margin. Bronze went to another American, Marvin Prause. Jacobs came in 6.41secs and was faster than Coleman in milliseconds. The American sprinter had a better start, but suffered a loss.

Coleman missed the 100m race at the Tokyo Olympics last summer. The reigning world champion on this track was initially given a two-year suspension due to the loss of three doping controls within a year. CAS showed some leniency and reduced the suspension to eighteen months, but Coleman was still absent from Tokyo.
