Greece’s Talon Racecourse could take part in the indoor championship in Marseille this week according to plan. The organization only scheduled its first-round match on Wednesday, which is why the Greek railway company was able to complete the last official procedures for obtaining a US visa in Paris on Tuesday.

“The application has been approved and if all goes well, I can get my visa in three days,” said Valentine, who traveled by train from Marseille to Paris and back on Tuesday. The second man in the Netherlands had to leave his passport in Paris, and therefore could not travel to the French capital.

Last Thursday, after being eliminated at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Championships in Rotterdam, the Greek track announced that it may have to cancel its participation in the ATP Championships in Marseille. It’s a tough situation and I have no idea if everything will work out. This visa has already caused me a lot of stress and misery. The US visa has priority #1, because I will be out of it for years. “I would be happy to skip a championship for that,” the Greek track said.

The 25-year-old tennis player lost his passport at the end of 2020, forcing him to apply for a US visa again. The Greek track needs such a visa because he ran two tournaments in Iran in 2015. Only with this visa – which he has not yet obtained due to circumstances – can he compete in the Masters in Indian Wells and Miami next month.

In Marseille, the world number 60 will meet Frenchman Lucas Pouille on Wednesday.
