Max Verstappen (Red Bull) has emerged as the most popular driver in Formula 1 in a global poll.

The current leader in the World Cup standings received 14.4 percent of all votes cast. Lando Norris (McLaren) came second with 13.7 per cent, and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) finished a little third.

    global support
167,000 fans from 187 countries took part in the survey, with an average age of 32. Verstappen received the most votes in the 25-34 age group and can count on support from all over the world.

    female fans
The 21-year-old Norris, still waiting for his first Grand Prix victory, got the most votes among fans. Briton Hamilton was the most popular driver in his country and earned the most recognition from older fans (over 45 years old) around the world.

McLaren emerged as the favorite Formula 1 team in the poll, followed by Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.

    Austin
In Austin, where the United States Grand Prix will be held on Sunday, Verstappen was not distracted by the poll results. He did not dare to give predictions on Thursday about the outcome of the Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. “We’ll see, it’s very hard to predict now,” he said at Verstappen.com. “It depends a little bit on the circuit, the conditions and the position of the wing we’re going to be driving, which part fits us well.”

    bolide
The Dutch Red Bull leader said he does not expect to make many improvements to his current car. “At this point in the championship I think there’s pretty much the most out there in the car. I don’t think it’s going to change much. Of course you have to make choices at some point and you as a team are also focused on the next year. You can’t keep developing until the last race of course. .”
