For most of the Seattle Seahawks fans, they were calling for help on the defensive line, in the hope that the team would bring free substitutes for players like Jadeveon Clowney and Quinton Jefferson who left after the 2019 season. The vast majority of names fans wanted to sign elsewhere over the course. The holiday season, including Gerald McCoy, Mike Daniels and Iverson Griffin among others, however, Damon Snack Harrison remained a free agent.
However, it looks as if Harrison has finally decided to play the 2020 season, and he is set to start his tour of team visits Tuesday.
Free Agent DT Damon Harrison told me he’s now visiting with #Hawks Tuesday. “Then I visited Green Bay on Wednesday,” Harrison told me.

Harrison is, of course, a running stuffing monster that can play in the middle of the streak. Not exactly a weakness for Seahawks this season, but with an opportunity to add one of the center’s best quarter-distance players to the season, Hawks are involved, as always. Further complicating the front office’s ability to sign Harrison is the fact that he is already scheduled to visit the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday after he concludes his visit to the VMAC.
For Seattle fans who insist that Pete Carroll and John Schneider not be allowed to leave Harrison without signing a contract, this can be a difficult day. Seahawks have a long tradition of offering very small contracts to veterans while increasing the playability of the Super Bowl Ring. While the team was certainly able to sign some free agents using this stadium, others, most notably Evan Mattis, were stopped by this approach.
In any case, the news late Tuesday will be that either Harrison agreed to sign with Hawks, or he boarded a plane to Green Bay. All Seahawks fans can do at this point is wait.
