Muki Bates sits in the Dodgers season final match on Sunday afternoon against the Angels, the day after he was hit with a stadium hit in the left hip area.

Bates collided with a sailor from Julio Tehran at 90 mph to lead the first half on Saturday evening. Bates limp in bunker, but he was also in the circle on the deck as the stroke ended, as the dodgers were racing in the frame.
He was eliminated from the match after the first half, although manager Dave Roberts said it was only a precaution, as the Dodgers’ mini-match had long since been secured. Bates suffers from some hip ache on Sunday.
“He wanted to stay last night, and he wanted to be there today,” said Roberts on Sunday. “But it makes sense to give him a day and a half off, and be ready for Wednesday.”
Roberts said Bates did not need any additional testing on his hip. Bates will hit Tuesday as the Dodgers hold a workout at Dodger Stadium before the Wild Card Tour, which begins on Wednesday.
Betts’ first season in Los Angeles was awesome. On Sunday he enters a score of .292 / .366 / .527 with 16 home runs, one top of the National League, and the captain of the team 10 stolen bases while playing an astral defense in the right field.
Betts leads the NL in the baseball reference version of WAR (3.4), and is ranked third in FanGraphs WAR (2.9).
With Bates out, Kiké Hernández starts on the right square on Sunday.
Cody Bellinger also gets a day off, but he’s healthy. Justin Turner (thumb, hamstrings) and Max Munse (wrist) are both healthy and a start. Roberts said each of them will likely have around three bats on Sunday before heading out.
AJ Bullock leads Sunday. He achieved ninth place on Saturday, giving him at least one start in all nine batting spots in 2020.
Victor Gonzales kicks off Sunday at the start of the match, with Dustin May expecting to play 2-3 runs at rest.
