The first 18 holes in the US Open 2020 were played with ease and Winged Foot would allow them for the rest of the week. Friday’s second round is expected to include gusty winds, cooler temperatures and a much firmer green than what we saw on Opening Day. We hope you enjoyed all of this recording on the first 18 holes because you probably won’t see much of it the rest of the way.
What you will see on Friday are the world’s best golfers fumbling to keep their heads above level. Matthew Wolff and Thomas Peters would go early after the formidable first rounds in which they both hit 4 under. Leader Justin Thomas (-5) will be behind, as will Patrick Reed (-4) and Rory McIlroy (-3). We’ll see them fight each other – and maybe more closely related – a golf course that’s going to be fighting a mega battle for the next three days. We’ll also see if Tiger Woods (+3), Dustin Johnson (+3) and Jordan Speth (+3) can fight for success on Friday in the season’s first six majors.
