In our online battery-demanding uptime test, the OnePlus 10T 5G lasted 12 hours 3 minutes — a solid value. We set the width to 200 nits, which is suitable for indoor use, and let the script constantly surf the web and play videos.
From a physical point of view, this charging time is not pleasant for single lithium cells. The battery life could therefore be a little shorter compared to the competition. However, OnePlus still assumes the battery capacity is 80 percent after 1,600 charge cycles, which corresponds to about four years. This is made possible by an “intelligent” algorithm that monitors the maximum current charge capacity of individual cells. In the event of an imminent overload, the system then regulates the charging power down. In addition, some kind of “self-healing” should reduce damage to the anode and cathode.
If you do not want to trust these marketing promises, you can also create an individual shipping plan in the corresponding settings menu – or simply turn off the express charging function completely. Wireless charging is not possible with the OnePlus 10T 5G.
